Grand Isle is a town in Jefferson Parish in the U.S. state of Louisiana, located on a barrier island of the same name in the Gulf of Mexico.

\nHurricane Ida's eastern eye wall hit the area on August 29, 2021, on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, causing major destruction. It was reported that 100 percent of Grand Isle's structures were damaged, and around 40\u201350 percent of structures were completely destroyed.<\/p>
