Safety

To get to Playa del Ingles, snowbirds will have to arrive 30 km (19 Miles) away at the Gran Canaria Airport. From there, if you haven't booked any transportation in advance, you could easily find a cab or bus to take you to your destination easily.
Buses are the cheapest way to move around Playa del Ingles and to also tour other cities. However, they are not very fast. Cabs are a little more expensive than buses, but they are more convenient and faster than buses.
There are no airports or rail services in Playa del Ingles. Given the size of the resort town and the island, you will not miss these.
